A racist Umno accusing others of being racist?

When the DAP announced recently that it is doubling its effort in getting into Malay majority areas to spread its ideology and All-Malaysian concept to the people there, Umno is quick to come forward to mention that DAP is a racist party aimed at splitting the Malays and contaminate Islam.

Look who is talking about racism now! A racist party saying that another party is racist. While DAP has been openly accepting all races into its fold and they are still doing now, Umno is still practicing one-race politics in its party membership and policies. Umno's current agenda is to strive for only one race called Ketuanan Melayu (actually it is more of a Ketuanan Umno).

For decades, DAP has always maintained itself as a truly multi-racial party despite there being more non-Malays than the Malays. Throughout many general elections, the party had even came up with several prominent Malay candidates to contest for parliamentary and state seats.

In the beginning, Umno had accused the DAP for being a Chinese-based chauvinistic party and now they are attacking DAP for being more appealing to the Malays. To an extent, Umno even accused the DAP of enticing Malays to abandon Islam as their religion.

Then an Umno vice-president Zahid Hamidi claimed to had "exposed" a plot by DAP to go into Malay heartlands to spread its political ideology. Zahid is making himself like a clown by saying that he had "exposed" a kind of plot by DAP.

DAP already had so many Malay leaders in its party for so long and it is very absurd for Zahid to sound his claim in such a way, thus making a real fool of himself. That means he did not really knows the DAP, its organization and party membership.

The Malay community must also make their stand firm to Umno by stressing that they are not the property of Umno and Umno does not own the Malay community at all. Umno is not Malay and the Malays are not Umno. It is only a political party with a single race concept. Therefore, even if there is no more Umno one day, the Malay community shall still exist in our nation.

We can assure that Zahid and the rest of the Umno leaders' mentality are antiquated and mostly outdated. Their mindset is still in a kind of dinosaurs era and they are still in a total denial mode, refusing to accept the fact that racism in our nation today is already a thing of the past.

Yeah, Umno is thinking that their race-based politics is still relevent and let that be in the jungle for them to continue with. Even the animals do not differentiate themselves in such a way.

So, in the next general elections to come, just make sure that all of us should come out in full force to conduct a massive housekeeping for our nation.

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Federal Constitution that Safeguards the Legitimate Rights and Interest of All Malaysians

The provisions of the Federal Constitution are very clear. It confirmed the position of the Malay Rulers, Islam as an official religion of the federation and special position of the Malays and the natives in Sabah and Sarawak whilst recalling that those provisions balance those special positions with safeguards to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the other communities in Malaysia which also includes their right to profess and practice their religions freely without being fear of any threats or being harmed by anybody. The legitimate interests of the non-Malays and non-Muslims would include, amongst others: a) Article 153 (9) says that business or trade cannot be solely reserved only for the Malays, b) Article 3 (1) says that the official religion of the federation is Islam BUT other religions are also allowed to be practiced in peace and harmony in any part of the federation.
