Umno planned career assassination of NUJ's Hata

A few weeks later, on the instruction of Umno as the largest shareholder of the newspaper, Utusan Malaysia management then issued a show-cause letter to Hata Wahari purportedly relating to his statement, and later decided to put Hata onto the company's domestic inquiry hearing.
In this way, Umno and the Utusan editorial hope to kill Hata of his career thus ending his role as NUJ president should the verdict against him is guilty and he is expelled from the company. A well-planned career assassination on Hata.
Hata is acting in his capacity and role as the NUJ president spoke and issued those statements in defense of press freedom, journalistic integrity and the welfare of all journalist. These are indeed his democratic and human rights.
It is a very well-engineered aim of both Umno and Utusan editorial to cripple the rising NUJ leadership and serve as a stern warning to all Utusan-based journalist and unionist. Previously, the NUJ's Utusan branch chairman Amran Ahmad had also suffered the same fate which lead to his expulsion from the company.
While Utusan Malaysia has been able to make and publish various racist and hate articles in its newspaper without of any fear of being warned and closed down, it is also freely clamping an increasing dissent from within by putting them into difficult situation, forcing them to resign and for those with stronger will were put to domestic inquiries to be found guilty and then expelled from the company.
Another 1Malaysia concept advocated by Umno and BN.
