Growing terrorism in Malaysia

It looks like terrorism had finally found its way easily into our nation, Malaysia. The motivation to terrorize our nation by these groups are high. Why? Because the authorities here are not doing much or not going all out to demotivate them.

Again why do we say that? The growing religious discrimination, intolerance, hatred, extremism, fanaticism, violence and soon to be - terrorism. If you look into the aspects of terrorism, here is only one sentence to buy-off this issue: It is easy to start something but it would be impossible to control it later when things go out of the context.

Terrorism is indeed taking root in our nation growing from a race-based political party to a particular NGO, then spreading its influence and methods to the other right-wing extremist organization all around the nation, thus endangering the lives of our peace-loving and law abiding citizens.

The latest to be in the news, a member of parliament from Selangor was given a death threat by the so-called "Chicken Army" who claimed themselves to be Jihadist fighters. What was that? Jihad fighters sending a dead chicken to threaten people? Is this what they called Jihad?

Jihad fighters are supposed to be coming out to fight openly and bravely in the eyes of everyone, isn't it so? The real Jihadist are supposed to show to the world what they are actually fighting for, isn't so?

But this Jihadist came in a form of the "Chicken Army"! This means they are not really Jihadist at all. Just chickens who were scared of their own look after looking at the mirror.

Many times we have heard the prime minister Najib Razak (Umno president) and the other particularly home minister Hishammuddin Hussein (Umno vice-president) who often stress on the need to preserve the public security and to prevent these religious extremist or fanatics from growing, unity is utmost important and the goodness of 1Malaysia concept.

But what have they done so far? Even some of the leaders and members of their own ruling party is running out of control or those of beyond control. Threatening to soak their "keris" with someone's blood, to burn the cities, calling for a race supremacy, advocating religious supremacy, calling us as "pendatang", "pemabuk" and prostitutes, telling us to "balik China" or "balik India", calling other people "pariah" in their books, inciting hatred and disunity, demolishing temples, showing off the cow heads, insulting other religions, accusing some liberals of attempting to dethrone the King and the Sultanates in their newspapers and many, many more.

And all these were just simply ignored and efforts were not carried out to put an end to all these negative and terror elements. Just because these elements are strongly link to their ruling elites and cronies. Then it keeps on growing, growing and mushrooming so fast like they are above the law and the constitution.

Yes, they all claimed to be above the law and the constitution just because Najib and the other Hishammuddin did not want to bother at all. And if these two guys did not want to know all these, the police would then close their eyes on all these too, also simply because all these lunatics' activities are sanctioned.

The police keep busying themselves by looking at the backyard of each and every opposition and liberal politicians all over the nation, arresting and putting them in jails because they are trying to protect our people and human rights, putting critics who exposed corruptions and power abuses into prison by reasoning that they had violated the Official Secrets Act, Publications & Printing Presses Act, Internal Security Act, Police Act, University & University Colleges Act and so on.

There goes, to protect the powerful ruling elites, crimes goes on springing freely, and here comes another fear - terrorism that grew from discrimination, intolerance, hatred, extremism, fanaticism and violence. Unstoppable and running out of control. Is this what they claimed Islamic, 1Malaysia, tolerance and unity?

Sometimes, we wonder if Prophet Mohammad s.a.w. would to be still around today, he would be the most upset to see all the "followers" of him, being so barbaric, in fact worse than when it was during the "Jahiliah" age.

We are very certain that most true Islamic scholars would definitely know the real meaning of Jihad which we believe is totally different from the meaning on which these acts of cowardice are committed. Jihad from our understanding is to battle the devils within oneself and that which affects his or her community spiritually and free minds to be closer to God.

We all indeed felt pity on all those shallow-minded followers of the "Chicken Army" and the other groups as well whom we believe to have been brainwashed into advocating the otherwise. All these threats and terrors will only bring more disgrace to the said religion which is known to be a teaching of peace-loving, once upon a time.

What we are seeing here in our nation seems to suggest otherwise. Even at the smallest issues it would turn into provocations and these groups would arm themselves, claiming to be Jihadist to kill and terrorize even their own kind in the name and for the sake of God.
