Umno upholds its revenge on the voters

This was confirmed by Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin recently who had shot down a request that the federal government should extend development funds to Opposition MPs.
According to Muhyddin the funds and allocations are only allocated to Barisan MPs. He also said providing the funds to Barisan MPs had been a practice of the ruling coalition and there was no intention to extend it to Opposition MPs at all.
He was responding to a request from Selangor State Executive Councillor Dr Yaakob Safari that the funding and allocations should be given to Opposition MPs as well. The Selangor state is currently being administered by the opposition Pakatan Rakyat under the leadership of Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim of PKR. The opposition front consist of PKR, DAP and PAS.
According to Dr Yaakob, the Umno-led BN federal government should be fair in its treatment including extending the funding and allocations to all states ruled by Pakatan Rakyat.
It shows that Umno and BN aim to punish the voters who voted for the oppositions to represent them by denying these elected representatives their constitutional rights to seek funding and allocations for their constituencies.
The Umno deputy president also gave a reason that if these funds and allocations were to be channeled to the opposition, it might be misused by them. That is why Muhyiddin told the Star that “If we channel it to the Selangor Menteri Besar, I wonder how he would spend it”.
So, this is how Umno and BN view the states run by Pakatan Rakyat. They view and see that these states are their staunch enemy and ought to be denied rights of funding, allocation and even developments.
Umno's practical dictatorship policies will not bring them any further in making our nation truly democratic nation. Its policies will only demonstrate its supremacy, arrogance and not respecting the verdict made by our people via general elections.
Can we just get rid of this revengeful kind of federal government from our sight? If Umno and BN choose to continue politicking and destabilizing opposition rule states, it will not serve any purpose anymore.
We vote because we love our nation, but in return, are we being loved and taken care of? No, instead we were being hated because we wanted a check and balance of power (where it should be) in our democratic system.
Getting rid of the opposition in such way is clearly undemocratic and dictatorial. To this Muhyiddin again we are giving you a Nah! for your arrogance and supremacy.
