Supremacy has nothing to do with the Rulers

In response to the recent call by PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail that the Ketuanan Melayu agenda should be put to end, Umno had once again blown this agenda by directly pulling the Malay rulers into their political play.

Actually, Ketuanan Melayu has nothing to do with the Malay rulers at all. This very strange word is actually a political agenda being drum up by Umno in order to gain or regain support from Malay community. There is actually no such thing of Ketuanan Melayu at all in Malaysia.

If you read the Federal Constitution and the respective state constitutions carefully, you can never find any provision that will link Ketuanan Melayu with the Malay rulers' institution. The Malay rulers are in fact a sacred royal institution by itself. The Ketuanan Melayu is merely a political jargon created by Umno in order to fend itself from its racist agenda and policies.

And you can see now, when PKR brought up this matter to the public for scrutiny, Umno quickly took to the center stage by holding up the Ketuanan Melayu agenda citing that it is in fact part of the Malay rulers. Where and which part of the constitution say so? What other provision of any parliamentary Act that confirms Ketuanan Melayu is link to the Malay rulers? Can any leaders from Umno or whatever Perkasa it is step forward to state the legal implications that enforces the Ketuanan Melayu agenda.

Well, till now none of them could even ever state their facts in a proper or detail manner because there is none at all in the Federal Constitution, all the state constitutions nor any parliament Act.

So, in order to cover up or to avoid this point, they will keep harping on naming people as penderhaka, pengkhianat bangsa dan agama, pengkhianat raja-raja, pengkhianat negara and so on because they did not have the actual facts at all.

And this is how they use this racist political agenda in order to drum up some racial tensions and then come forward shouting on top of their voice by claiming that they are protecting the Malay rights and the Malay rulers.

If Umno is really protecting the Malay rights as claimed, why until today, the majority in the Malay community are still in a poor and devastating condition? Why, until now, the equity meant for the Malay community has yet to be achieved? Why non-Malays still outshine the Malay community in every sectors eventhough Umno claimed that they had laws and provisions that provide every assistance to bring up the Malay community? Why non-Malays are still able to survive, whereas the majority of the Malays still could not do so, despite decades of rule and various dictated bumiputra policies undertaken by Umno?

It shows that the agenda of Ketuanan Melayu is not really for the Malay community at all. That so-called supremacist agenda is only meant for Umno leaders to advance their power, wealth as well as their personal business interest.

The agenda of Ketuanan Melayu is actually never a policy to develop the Malay community itself into a better position and to be of par with the other Malaysian communities.

The Ketuanan Melayu agenda is a policy meant to suppress the majority Malay community into becoming a subservient to Umno, thus giving them no choice but to support Umno in every general election. Unless they support Umno, they will never obtain any assistance or funding from Umno.

And if there are any attempts to seek a check and balance onto this policy or agenda, then the words like penderhaka, pengkhianat bangsa dan agama, pengkhianat raja-raja, pengkhianat negara would surface from the mouths of these Umno leaders in order to cover up their "money laundering" from being exposed.

As such, we would like to call on our fellow Malaysians to just ignore all these racist jargons created by Umno and focus on continuing and appreciating the harmonious multiracial living standards of being a Malaysian First and for all.

Do not allow Umno cheat you, your children and your generations anymore!

Stand up as a Malaysian First!
