Invest More in Science Instead of Religion for Our Nation

Image
Malaysians and the government must learn this bitter lesson today. The coronavirus is spreading like nobodyā€™s business and it is continuing its vast spread to take more lives away from this world. Some say it is the will of God, but it is not. It is because we are lacking in action, so does the government inaction. The slow response and lacking in counter measures to curb the spread of this virus has in fact make things worse for the entire nation. Some will be wondering why is this coronavirus spreading like a rocket speed. First our nationā€™s government machinery has not been serious about curbing this virus even from the beginning. Much politicking has been played in the latest political scene. And our nation then experienced a very long period without a government which had made things even worst for everyone. The nationā€™s administration came to a complete standstill following a coup dā€™etat which caused the previous government to collapsed. Religious matter has been another big i...

Ruling class flounders faced with the worst crisis in the history of capitalism

Image
The pandemic spreading across the world has triggered a global recession. The ruling class is scrambling to find means of cushioning this savage blow to the economy. In their desperation, they are breaking all the rules that have governed their policy for the past 80 years. The capitalist system is facing its worst crisis ever. Already in recession Economic data always lags behind events, and the last official figures for the economy would be for the last quarter of 2019, with the next batch due out in April. However, it is clear that the situation has completely changed in the past month and a half. Various institutions are now attempting to project the scale of the crisis but their models are built for the past, and would struggle to come to terms with the new unpredictable situation. Still, there is no reason to doubt the general thrust of the figures. Morgan Stanley estimates the US economy will contract 30 percent on an annualised basis between April and June this year...

What do you mean financial assistance? Please donā€™t cheat us!

Image
Recently, the Perikatan Nasional government announced some ā€œfinancial assistanceā€ package in order to ā€œreduceā€ the burden of our peopleā€™s livelihood who are affected following the Movement Control Order (MCO) implementation nationwide which saw all economic activities came to a standstill following the lockdown. We would like to ask the prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his cabinet ministers, what do you mean by financial assistance? Do you know the real definition of financial assistance? You are now allowing our people to withdraw from their retirement savings in the Employeesā€™ Provident Fund (EPF) for about 12 month beginning from 1st April 2020 next month. This is not financial assistance. This is about taking out our live savings for our retirement to ease our current burdens today. So, how are we going to survive in our retirement age in the aftermath? Then in the end, you will definitely blame us for not having enough for our retirements in the future. Can a higher divi...

What kind of government does Perikatan wants to be?

Image
A week after the new government was sworn in, has the Perikatan Nasional which consist of Bersatu, Umno, PAS, GPS and two more minor political parties, MCA and MIC, decided what kind of government do they want to be? In the 14th general election held on 10 May 2018, the people elected an alternative coalition of political parties called Pakatan Harapan (PH) to take over the reign from the Barisan Nasional (BN) which had ruled our nation for more than 60 years after having being tainted with massive corruption, mismanagement and power abuse which caused billions of rinngit missing from our nationā€™s coffers. This is what the people want, change for a better. However, after a mass defection of PH MPs from their original coalition and following the resignation of the then prime minister, then also the withdrawal of Bersatu from PH, the Perikatan Nasional coalition of ā€œconvenienceā€ was established to take over the reign from PH after almost 22 months of the governance. During P...

About wrapping up the MAS female cabin crews

Image
The deputy minister of women and family development Siti Zailah Md Yusoff had recently said that she will meet up with the minister of religious affairs in the prime ministerā€™s department Zulkifli Mohamad to ascertain if all MAS female cabin crews should cover-up entirely to ensure their ā€œauratā€ were not exposed. To Siti Zailah, how about proposing all MAS female cabin crews to be wrapped up entirely, with masking tapes, shrink wraps whatever you see fit to ensure nothing can be seen forever? What do you think? Donā€™t you have more practical things to do in your role and responsibilities as the deputy minister in the women and family development ministry? You should look into matters that stringent protection on women and children, development of women and children well-being and all matters which regards ensuring the best for this community. Not going after women who are working in MAS to see if their dress code really adheres to your kind of Religion. Look at the plight of many wom...

Stop using religion to justify sexual exploitation

Image
Does the deputy minister for women and family development, Siti Zailah Md Yusoff, who is from PAS knows about her roles and responsibilities in the Ministry of Women and Family Development and what is in the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017? Is she campaigning to legalise rape and sexual exploitation of the underage? Siti Zailah should be practical and understand that she cannot protect or justify rape or any kinds of sexual exploitation by using Religion to outdo the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. What does she mean by "if it does go against the Religion, it will be accepted out"? Why does she need to consult an ā€œUlamaā€ to confirm if that child has been raped or sexually exploited and whether the rapist deserve the marriage with the victim or not? It is not for the religion to come in to say that this or that law is not applicable for the child rapist or any sex exploiter of underage. If the Religion were to interfere with the practical laws in the la...

2009 betrayal and now 2020 betrayal, what now? Way forward.

Image
In 2009, the betrayal of three Pakatan Rakyat state assemblymen has led to the downfall of the Perak state government in the Umno-inspired coup dā€™etat at that time led by the then deputy premier Najib Razak. This year round, also took place in February, the betrayal of Bersatu and 11 PKR members of parliament has led to the downfall of the Pakatan Harapan federal government after about 22 months in Putrajaya. Worst of all, the betrayal at the federal level has also led to the fall of the Johor, Melaka and Perak Pakatan Harapan state government with Umno and PAS taking charge of all these coup dā€™etats while Bersatu was in conspiracy. The reason for all these betrayals are very clear. Better known as traitors or ā€œpengkhianatā€ for their betrayals because they fought the elections under the Pakatan Harapan banner, reasoning their defections is to save the ā€œMalay heartlandā€ from being overwhelmingly taken over by the ā€œChinese leadersā€ and to ensure "Islam is well-secured" u...

Backdoor government is up!

Image
The backdoor prime minister has been appointed. Yesterday the backdoor cabinet has been appointed. Today, the backdoor ministers had taken their oath and tomorrow they will commence work in their new ministries respectively. This is the first cabinet established by a prime minister without a deputy prime minister appointed, instead four senior ministers were appointed as his inner cabinet, to advise and assist the prime minister on in-depth matters. Bersatu has withdrew from Pakatan Harapan in an ugly manner and forged an alliance with Umno and PAS in order to established a pure ā€œMalayā€ government in order to save the country from an overwhelming ā€œChineseā€ Pakatan Harapan government, according to sources from Umno, PAS and Bersatu. So, in the end of the day, does Bersatu and some PKR defectors mean, in the end of the day, the governing factor of this nation is still all about one race and that particular religion of "theirs"? In the new cabinet, Bersatu leaders ha...
