About wrapping up the MAS female cabin crews
The deputy minister of women and family development Siti Zailah Md Yusoff had recently said that she will meet up with the minister of religious affairs in the prime minister’s department Zulkifli Mohamad to ascertain if all MAS female cabin crews should cover-up entirely to ensure their “aurat” were not exposed.
To Siti Zailah, how about proposing all MAS female cabin crews to be wrapped up entirely, with masking tapes, shrink wraps whatever you see fit to ensure nothing can be seen forever? What do you think?
Don’t you have more practical things to do in your role and responsibilities as the deputy minister in the women and family development ministry? You should look into matters that stringent protection on women and children, development of women and children well-being and all matters which regards ensuring the best for this community. Not going after women who are working in MAS to see if their dress code really adheres to your kind of Religion.
Look at the plight of many women and children who need help or assistance from the government and your ministry especially. Setting up women or children centres or enhancing the role of welfare offices nationwide to ensure women and children are being assisted and their well-being are being looked into.
Take an in-depth at the rural areas where women and children are very much in need of help, care and lacking in such facilities will certainly harm their well-beings.
Siti Zailah, you are running out of focus in your first week as a deputy minister in that ministry. Stay on course and do not use religion to justify your job or compromising your roles and responsibilities. Be practical in what you are doing instead of always wanting to consult God or playing like Him when carrying out your job.
