Stop using religion to justify sexual exploitation
Does the deputy minister for women and family development, Siti Zailah Md Yusoff, who is from PAS knows about her roles and responsibilities in the Ministry of Women and Family Development and what is in the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017?
Is she campaigning to legalise rape and sexual exploitation of the underage?
Siti Zailah should be practical and understand that she cannot protect or justify rape or any kinds of sexual exploitation by using Religion to outdo the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. What does she mean by "if it does go against the Religion, it will be accepted out"? Why does she need to consult an “Ulama” to confirm if that child has been raped or sexually exploited and whether the rapist deserve the marriage with the victim or not?
It is not for the religion to come in to say that this or that law is not applicable for the child rapist or any sex exploiter of underage. If the Religion were to interfere with the practical laws in the land, then there will be lawless. All rapist can now rape any girl that they pick-up and then settle it with marriage in order to avoid the law?
Such action would be considered as “Law of the Jungle”. Is this PAS’ version of allowing sexual exploitation in the name of the Religion? Are they playing God or wanting to be greater than the law by using God to undo the practical and reality on this earth.
Rape and sexual exploitation are both crime punishable under any available Act and Penal Code. If they want to use Religion to supersede the existing laws in this country, we would not allow such to happen here.
If PAS insist that their brand of Religion should be on the top of the laws in Malaysia, they should leave this country and migrate to Iran or Afghanistan instead.
