Malaysians Not That Developed and Educated

The former premier Dr Mahathir had himself to be blamed for exposing all about this nation which he used to be the prime minister. During his tenure, he had used all the harsh laws because the people under his leadership are mostly "not that developed" and "uneducated".

Is this guy admitting his total failure during his reign over our nation? And because of his failure, more and more people are becoming "not that developed" and "uneducated" as well. And that is why he said, the current prime minister Najib Razak and his government ought to do all he could to re-introduce all those harsh laws to deal with all of Dr Mahathir's failure.

Yes, as the result of Dr Mahathir's rule decades ago, criminal organizations flourished like nobody's business, the government and the thieves were in the same group during his reign, he created those gang of mafias all over our nation in order to ensure his political survival and to threaten our people who are critical towards his government.

As the result of Dr Mahathir's rule decades ago, our people are "not that developed" and many were "uneducated". That is why most of them end up as criminals, not only that, but really hardcore criminals who are all well-fed by the then BN government under Dr Mahathir.

Again, as the result of Dr Mahathir's rule decades ago, many who are part of his administration are involved in corruption, power abuse and mismanagement which cost the government billions of Ringgit and coupled with economic uncertainties, unemployment to rise, inflation and many more.

In order to contain these criminals to work only for him, he created all those harsh laws and at the same time also used them against opposition leaders and political dissidents. This is what we call, one stone that kills three birds. He really took advantage on that.

So, when the later prime ministers (former premier Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the current one Najib Razak) started to repeal all those laws, Dr Mahathir decided to unleash all those criminals into the streets to create havoc all over the nation. This is exactly what he is doing right now, to threaten our people into submission.

Then, should we say, this former premier is also looking forward for a civil war in our nation so that he could make a comeback to regain power? He wants to destroy this nation which is no longer accord him with respect. Yes, because he doesn't behave like a statesman at all!

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Singapore Malay daily teaches Mahathir about hardwork

The former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's assumption that Malays in Singapore had failed and their neighbouring Malays should take lesson from their plight has not impressed a Singaporean daily. The republic's Malay daily Berita Harian in an editorial said Malay-Muslims in the republic state were successful and it was a result of their real efforts and hard work in line with the values of meritocracy, not a result of being spoon-fed. “We do not believe in being spoon-fed or being too dependent on the government - in other words, we do not have a crutch mentality,' wrote editor Guntor Sadali.
