Penang assembly suspends Umno rep after he refuses to say sorry
Penang Umno secretary Datuk Azhar Ibrahim was again suspended from the Penang state assembly sitting today after he refused to apologise in connection with an allegation that he exposed his buttocks to Sim Tze Tzin (DAP-Pantai Jerjak) yesterday.
Azhar (BN-Penaga) is alleged to have committed the offence while leaving the assembly after Deputy Speaker Tan Hock Leong ordered him to leave for refusing to retract a term that he had used when debating the 2010 budget yesterday.
We are disappointed, very disappointed with such action, where a state assemblyman who called himself a YB or Yang Berhormat shown a disgusting and immoral example in a place of honour. In fact, the speaker should also suspend Azhar from some sitting instead of only this session to teach them a lesson and to tell them how wrong are they to cordone into such a "kurang ajar" characters.
Anyway, this is the style of these Umno warlords who often demonstrate their "ketuanan" or supremacist ideas. First, they hold up their "keris" and now they show their backside to people, then in future, would they strip themselves naked in public?
