DAP assemblyman owns up to malicious SMS, what about Umno, Gerakan, MCA, etc?

Sungai Pinang DAP assemblyman Koid Teng Guan has admitted and apologised for forwarding a short-message service (SMS) text belittling the Barisan Nasional to over 400 people during the state assembly sitting on Tuesday.

Koid said he regretted his action as it was inappropriate for him, as an elected representative, to do so. “I sincerely apologise and I will not repeat the act; forwarding the inappropriate message that joked about my political opponents,” he said at a press conference held in the state assembly building, here, today.

The SMS, believed to have originated from a Pakatan Rakyat supporter, belittled the BN component parties and urged people to send them to hell.

State executive councillor Phee Boon Poh, Pulau Tikus assemblyman Koay Teng Hai, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s political secretary Ng Wei Aik and Tanjung Bungah assemblyman Teh Yee Cheu were also present at the press conference to lend support to Koid and to extend the state’s regrets over the matter.

Meanwhile, State Gerakan communication and publicity bureau secretary Dr Thor Teong Gee slammed Koid for his action, saying that he had set a bad example.

We wish to remind Dr Thor that the Gerakan and himself are both hypocrites and great pretenders. According to him, Gerakan do not agree in "keganasan politik" but why at the first place Gerakan supports the "keganasan politik" carried out by their fellow BN component party called Umno who is dominant in the coalition by allowing and supporting their "ketuanan" or supremacist agenda over other races.

This is just like saying other people (DAP) wrong but did not realise that they themselves (Gerakan) are very wrong. Another reminder to Dr Thor, look at yourself in the mirror first before you criticise others.

We support what Sungai Pinang DAP assemblyman Koid had did. His SMS message was merely calling on voters to bury BN in the next general elections. During the last general elections, PKR, DAP and PAS had received much condemnations and belittlings from BN leaders, including Gerakan. Have they forgotten what they did to Pakatan Rakyat previously?
