Kerajinan SPRM berat sebelah

Isu Jerebu: Kerajaan BN lembap

Ampang Umno gave us a warning

We heard that the Ampang Umno members led by its division chief Ismail Kijo had gathered in Ampang Point to support MACC, the police and gave a warning to the people not to exploit the death of Teo Beng Hock and evoke racial sentiments. The action prompted by the Ampang Umno division members are disgusting and is a disgrace to the nation. What right does Umno have to issue a warning to parties or people who are out there seeking justice for Beng Hock? These Umno members are again demonstrating their ketuananhood and supremacist behavior on our peace-loving citizens. They are issuing such threats so that the people would be afraid of them, the people would be afraid of seeking justice and to speak out. What afraid? No, we are all not afraid of Umno anymore! We do not see Umnoā€™s threat would harm our people as we know such actions are made by those who are cowards and who are afraid their wrongdoings are being exposed. They merely wanted to divert our peopleā€™s attention from their corrup...

MACC or the other way round

What is MACC really stands for after all these mess they had shown? Should we call it the Malaysian Advancing Corruptions and Crime? A lot of people may or will agree with this suggestion. First, they are always being what they are originally are, as it was called ACA previously, practicing selective persecutions against opposition members of parliament and state assemblymen, or even the opposition rule states. Whatever, ACA or MACC it is the same. It is only a mere window dressing and some cosmetic change on its entity to bring about re-branding on the tarnished enforcement agency. Whenever there are reports lodged by concerned citizens or non-governmental organizations (NGO) against BN and Umno leaders for alleged power abuses and corrupt practice, nothing has been done to investigate these criminals and bring them to justice accordingly. Everything that was reported by our people were just swept under the carpet and then they come out with a press release saying that these guys or c...

The Late Teo Beng Hock

Image
It cannot be denied that the entire legal, judiciary and policing in our nation are controlled by a system which is totally dirty, corrupt and bad. In fact it was that system which has been manipulating our entire nation. The special assistant to the Selangor state executive councillor, Teo Beng Hock was found murdered or killed in the Selangor Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) state headquarters yesterday after he has been interogated from 5.00pm to 3.45am on the next day. What did really happened? If he is merely a witness, why was he being detained overnight? Are the MACC officials telling the truth? Since this involve the murder of a public servant of the Selangor state government under the hands of a federal enforcement agency, we urge the parliament to call for a special session to establish Royal Commission to fully investigate this matter as soon as possible. Those who are responsible for the brutal and tragic murder of Beng Hock must be brought to justice as soon as ...

TV host given a warning over her professionalism

It is disgusting to hear that the ntv7 host for the Point of View program Florence Looi was given a warning letter by her employer because she gave sufficient space for two of her guest to air their view on Najibā€™s first 100 days in office as prime minister. First of all, is this wrong? Or what wrong did Florence do? Actually Florence did not commit any wrong at all. She was merely acting within her professionalism as a journalist and publisher of the program. The wrong thing here is the scenario. Ntv7 is currently owned by Media Prima Berhad, a media giant which is closely connected and linked to Umno and its BN coalition federal government. Umno and BN wanted to curb public dissatisfaction over its policies and governance. They did not want to hear the views and criticisms of our people with open heart and accept them constructively and sportingly. And just because we have no rooms to air our views freely in the traditional mainstream medias and newspapers, blogs and internet sides ...

Better training system for the teachers

DAP National Deputy Chairman and MP for Kepong Dr Tan Seng Giaw calls on the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to review the teacher training system including postgraduate training scheme to ensure the quality of teachers such as English, Mathematics and Science teachers. There are 27 teachers' training institutes. The system of training must be improved. On 10.7.2009, Dr Tan comments on the Prime Minister's aim of making Malaysians more proficient in English after going back to the policy to use Bahasa Malaysia to teach Science and Mathematics. The Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced on 8.7.2009 that the teaching of the two subjects would be reverted to mother tongue instead of English. After Tun Mahathir implemented the teaching of Science and Mathematics using English in 2003, the scraping of the policy after six years and over 3 billion ringgit gives rise to complications such as teachers and students taking some time to g...

Kedah DAP to stay in state Pakatan

The Kedah DAP state committee had decided that they will not leave the Kedah Pakatan after some misunderstandings are cleared and the PAS-led state government had decided to form an action committee consist of DAP, PKR and PAS to resolve oustanding matters internally. Congratulations to Pakatan once again for demonstrating their maturity in resolving those issues in a friendly, fair and just way. It shows that the Pakatan had again shown their transparency and openness in setting things straight.

Good for Pakatan to have committees to shadow cabinet

Well, Pakatan Rakyat had recently unveiled its members of parliament as committee members of various portfolios to shadow the Najib administration. There are 25 ministries to shadow, and each cabinet portfolio committees are fairly represented by members of parliament from DAP, PKR and PAS respectively. According to PKR vice ā€“president Azmin Ali those committees will have specialist in respective fields to assist the Pakatan MPs in discharging their duties. This is a very good start for Pakatan to coordinate debates in the parliament and to closely monitor the performance of all ministries as well. However, we would like to urge Pakatan in coming future to push hard for a law that will allow those shadow committees to be turned into parliamentary select committees in order to seek a more open and transparent democratic process in the parliament rather than the current strict and controlled question, answering process which are controlled by the Dewan Rakyat speaker. The current procedu...

Foreign investments declining?

The BN-Umno led federal government had recently reported that the foreign investments to our country is declining the report is definitely disturbing to all of us, especially the working class people. So, what are the measures being taken by the federal government to arrest the decline of investments into our country? Creating more political turmoil and engineering more coup dā€™etats against the Pakatan-led state governments? We supposed the BN-Umno is still in denial mode and it is widely known that its leaders ad refuse to accept defeat in the last general elections and instead put the blame on the rising influence of the information technology era which came too fast. Because of the current political uncertainties created by BN-Umno themselves, it really cast a very serious doubt on whether our country can even achieve a 3 percent growth frtom 2009 to 2010 and our overall chances of ever achieving a developed nationā€™s position by the year 2020. The problem is can we really achieve th...

DAP quits Kedah Pakatan

Because of the insensitiveness of the PAS-led Kedah Pakatan state government, DAP had decided to withdraw from the state level coalition due to the selfishness of the PAS leadership over there. Come on PAS, you must remember that you are ruling as a coalition and it happens that you have the majority in Kedah and that does not mean you can do anything you like without consulting your junior coalition partners, particularly the PKR and DAP as well as PSM. Since the slaugtherhouse could not find a suitable site to relocate, you must help them to find one and not just say the grace period is over or expire and that is all, then send your bulldozers in the demolish the farm like that. Kedah PAS must also realise that the owners of the slaugtherhouse are human beings too and they ought to be treated in a humane manner and not animals where they can be chased away here and there. Kedah PAS must also remember that the people voted them into the government just because they are part of the Pak...
