It is just a bunting with Najib's face, not a flag!

Our country seems to becoming more like the Third Reich Germany during Adolf Hitler's era. glorifying the leader (the fuhrer) treating him beyond any sorts of criticisms or whatsoever views on him.

Evidently, student leader Adam Adli has more guts, principles, vision and grey matter than Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) vice-chancellor Zakaria Kasa.

The fact that is Adam did not bring down the Malaysian flag and desecrate it, like all those wild animals from Umno who had took the picture of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to stomp on it, then burn the same, carrying a coffin to the later's office, took down the photograph of Gerakan president Dr Koh Tsu Koon, tore it and made insults on that poor victimized fellow in such a shameful way.

We could see, who are the civilized and uncivilized ones.

First of all, why do Umno need to glorify their leaders by putting their faces on these buntings (not flags please!) and hanging them in front of the Umno's luxurious headquarters. We had seen such glorification and treatment of leaders like demigods in the Soviet Union (during Josef Stalin's rule), Third Reich Germany (under Hitler) and Fascist Italy (during Benito Mussolini).

Are we going backwards instead of moving forward? Is Umno a real practitioner of democracy as they preach before? It is Adam's constitutional right to demonstrate his grievances in front of the ruling party's headquarters to state his facts because these students plight has already been ignored far too long.

Adam brought down the bunting with Najib's face on it to show that he disapprove the Umno president (who is also the prime minister) and his dictatorial policies of restricting our people from our basic human rights. Adam got it right!

If all those Umno leaders are so angry of Adam's action, why issue threats to harm him? Constitutionally, this country is a democratic nation, to prove who is right, those angry Umno leaders could contest in the next general elections to prove who has the support of the people.

Go, contest in the general elections and not threatening people. By threatening people in such a way, it shows that these Umno leaders are uncivilized, uneducated and do not have any respect for humans. And if they do not have any respects for humankind, we cannot regard these Umno leaders as humans because they do not behave like one in the first place.

Just look at how the Petaling Jaya Utara Umno youth chief Arman Azha Hanifa behaved, threatening to harm, so violent and wanting to spit. He is no leader, he is just like an ape. Calling himself "panglima perang", totally unfit to be even a basic private in the army. Accurately, he should be the leader of the apes.

One more note for Umno youth's Arman, the Al-Qaeda is still looking for someone like you to fill in their slots as suicide bombers, you may be the best candidate.

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Singapore Malay daily teaches Mahathir about hardwork

The former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's assumption that Malays in Singapore had failed and their neighbouring Malays should take lesson from their plight has not impressed a Singaporean daily.
