Zaid, what and where is your focus?

Ever since you had been expelled from Umno for your principled stand on certain issues, we all welcomed you with open arms into the Pakatan Rakyat fold via your entry into Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

We knew that you are one of the architect behind the Pakatan Rakyat framework and its first ever convention being organized. We also knew that you are also one of the architect behind the much awaited initiatives to work towards getting Pakatan Rakyat to be registered as an official opposition coalition.

During your entry into PKR, you sang praises for the Pakatan Rakyat and its policies as well as their stand against injustice, their continuous and untiring efforts to ensure justice, democracy and equality would one day become a reality to our nation.

When you announced your intention to contest for the PKR deputy presidency, we welcomed your move as your democratic right to participate in the party elections. Besides, we also pray hard that you will gain some miracle in winning the post that you are contesting, but if otherwise, fight to the very end to justify your stand and make your voice be heard by all in the party.

Unfortunately, you withdrew from the party deputy presidency race in a sudden, which not only came as a grave surprise to us but also to all your supporters as well. you withdrew from the race all the sudden without any consultation with your circle of allies and friends.

A very disappointing you were. You just simply dumped them all with your reasons of this and that, which most of your supporters also found it hard to accept.

How could you abandoned the fight just like that? The race is only about 40 percent over and you had the other 60 percent to go for? Why did you gave up only after that 40 percent shown that you are way behind from the main contender Azmin Ali? Why are you giving up so easily?

We thought that you are a great man, a principle man, a staunch fighter for justice, equality and democracy. We thought that we the image that you had presented earlier, you would fight to the very end in the party deputy presidency race.

It is very unfortunate that you are not. You gave up too easy! You gave up just like that, reasoning that the party election is full of lies and cheats. Why give so much due concerns onto all these fuss? As long as you are a man of principle, then you are the principle man even if you did not make it in that particular race. Fight and lose as a principle man, then your supporters or even your contender will accord you with even more respect.

But after you gave up the half way fight, you lost almost all your PKR supporters now, they too are lost because your decision came as a surprise. And for those who are still supporting you, will also ditch you once you announce your plan to leave PKR. Any impact? We believed there would not be any impact at all.

You are lost, certainly lost. And you mentioned that you intend to resign from PKR and form a KeAdilan Baru to continue your quest that you hold and believe in. Come on, there are already too many political parties in our nation now. However, you suddenly cancelled your scheduled press conference tomorrow and you also have yet to submit your resignation letter. Again, you are lost and not focus.

A third force or third alternative for the people? Just look at the BN coalition, it is already overcrowded, look at the number of parties outside Pakatan Rakyat, there are just nonsense and too many of them. Some of them do not even have a clear and detail objectives to justify their existence.

Are you doing all these, in order to make the Pakatan Rakyat come knocking at your door, asking or pleading you to reconsider your actions? No, Anwar Ibrahim had just mentioned that you are free to go. DAP and PAS did not say even a word for you. Again you are lost. you will also eventually lose all your supporters and admirers from both inside and outside PKR.

We are not writing this to urge you to reconsider you plan to leave PKR. We are writing this to remind you that you are lost - your focus are lost. That is why you are now alone, just like when Umno once ditched you.
