Why is the transport minister trying to avoid the flood issues?

It is very clear that it was the MMC-Gamuda's RM15 billion Electrified Double Tracking Rail project who causes all those flood chaos in both Kedah and Penang states. Even MCA vice president and Alor Setar MP Chor Chee Heung had openly admitted it was that particular rail project who is causing all those massive floods following the continuous downpour.
We wish to advise Kong to go personally to the ground to find out the actual cause of the floods in these two states instead of just sitting in his office at Putrajaya waiting for reports and updates from afar.
Look at the grievances and complaints made by the people there. Look at the massive red earth dumps here and there along the road side and inside the drainage. Because of all these unsupervised earthworks the drainage in most of the affect place were choked with mud and in some areas, you will not be able to see if there is a drainage exist anymore. Just how bad the situation is and the minister is just sitting there listening to his subordinates who had constantly feeding him with inaccurate information on the current situation.
We support the Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's initiative who instructed the project to be halted in all Seberang Perai areas as means of precaution to avoid the flood from worsening. This is not about politics, this is all about those people who are currently affected by the floods where millions of Ringgit are lost.
And yet Kong is still talking in a political manner simply just to cover-up the mishaps created by his ministry officials and the contractor MMC-Gamuda who is undertaking the project. His political "tai chi" supersedes the welfare and the plight of the people in order to protect all those beneficial parties to this project. It was Kong who keeps on twisting the on the facts of the floods.
So, we urge Kong to stop all his nonsensical talks and politicking by start working with the Kedah and Penang state governments on how to tackle the flood situation in the two states, activate the relief orders as soon as possible and compensate the flood victims as well.
Remember, your MCA colleague Chor is also one of the victims. His house in Alor Setar (where is current the MP) was also hit by the worst ever flood.
