Cow head versus Candlelight vigils

We wish to recall the situation of the previous event. When people organise candlelight vigils peacefully as a mark of respect to someone who was brutally murdered and to call for an abolishment of a draconian law, these innocent Malaysian citizens are just simply arrested and thrown into the lock up for nothing. But recently, when some terrorist who claimed to be residents of Section 23, Shah Alam (actually majority of them are not) came out to demonstrate illegally without any permit and carrying a cow head as a mark to insult the Hindu religion, the authorities did nothing to stop nor arresting any of them. We wonder how our authorities define peace loving people as "criminals", while those so-called Section 23 terrorists who used "Islam" to defy law and order as their buddies. It was clearly shown, the police inaction to curb these real criminals as they were all just standing there watching the fun. Which is more threatening? The candlelights or Mahyuddin Manaf...

Cow head show by demonstrators a shameful act and a destruction to our nation's unity

As a Malaysian, I am ashamed at the behaviour of these radical racists especially during the holy month of Ramadan and I dare say that this is not the true reflection of the majority of our fellow Malay-Muslims in this country called Malaysia. Very sad indeed. First of all, I do not understand what is wrong with those radical racists who claimed to be residents of the Section 23 in Shah Alam came out in force to protest the proposed relocation of a Hindu temple into that area, carrying a cow head which intentionally insults the Malaysian Indian Hindu community. Why insult another religion in the name of one religion? And what is the police doing? They did nothing to stop all these racists from going around the city to provoke our fellow Malaysians who wanted peaceful and harmoniously living. Besides, these racists also threatened bloodshed should the proposed relocation of the Hindu temple were to proceed. In fact, those band of racists led by their so-called last minute self-proclaime...

Federal offices refused to recognise PR state governments

Image
Just look at the picture taken above. Despite Pakatan winning the general elections on last year March, most federal offices and departments had steadfastly refused to recognise the Pakatan state governments. What right have the federal offices and departments to refuse recognition for the Pakatan-led state governments? The mandates were given by our people. That means the BN-led federal government had also refuses to recognise the mandate of the people. Isn't it so? Surveys at federal offices and departments in Penang, Kedah and Selangor clearly shows that most of these avenues had failed to display the photos of the states' mentri besar or chief minister. When asked, the officers of the relevant departments gave the same responses i.e. "we had requested the photos from the state, but they did not want to give us". Come on! The photos of the states' mentri besars and chief ministers are printed and distributed by the Jabatan Penerangan Negeri (State Information D...

Umno resorting to race-based tactics

Image
See, in the current Permatang Pasir state seat by-election, Umno is looking desparate and is now resorting to racist tactics in order to incite hatred amongst our harmonious communities in Malaysia. Umno does not act like a gentleman. It claimed that the Barisan Nasional (BN) is always the best choice, but it does not act like one actually. BN is actually a coalition of race-based political parties like Umno, MCA and MIC, then in Sarawak PBB, SPDP, SUPP while in Sabah is also Umno, MCA, MIC and of course PBS, UPKO, PRS who are merely powerless "yes" men in the state coalition. Each of the race-based political parties in the BN only champions the respective communities which they claimed to represent. But in actual fact it is the supremacist Umno who dominates the entire BN machinery. Gerakan, who is also a member of the BN coalition often mention that they champion multi-racial concept in the BN and Bangsa Malaysia but they are unable to practically move their ideology into ...

What right has MACC to arrest Ronnie Liuā€™s aide?

A special assistant to Selangor state executive councillor Ronnie Liu has been detained by the MACC today for misappropriation of funds allocated to the Selangor Exco's constituency. According to Liu, he was outraged by the arrest, said that MACC had earlier informed him that his special assistant Wong Chuan How was only to be questioned as a witness and not suspect. However, when Wong was questioned this morning at his Sungai Pelek Service centre, the MACC officers instead informed him that he is a suspect and had him detained and brought over to the Selangor MACC headquarters. So, what is MACC trying to play about? Can MACC show any evidence or warrant of arrest first before detaining anyone? Why did the MACC cheated and lied Liu and Wong in the first place saying that Wong was merely a witness to their "case"? Is there any provision in the MACC by-laws stating that the MACC investigators or officers can cheat any person to lure him into the MACC office and then detain ...

Hitlerā€™s Germany and Umnoā€™s Malaysia

Before Adolf Hitler achieve power in Germany, he uses his party security unit called Sturmabteilung (SA) to reigned terror in the streets of Berlin and other German cities. He wanted to show to the German people that his party was their only choice to rebuild Germany in a Germanic way and of Aryan origin. Hitler believed that all Germans are of the Aryan race of high classic quality. That is why he relied on the SA to define the Germanic supremacy to the people and turned the entire nation into a uniformed state after he came to power. When Hitler became Chancellor on 30 January 1933, he race against time to enlarge his party militia unit Schutzstaffel (SS) into a formidable military force aimed of serving and advancing the interest the of the Nazi Party. The SS was soon enlarged into Waffen-SS (regular SS military force) with its own logistics and ammunitions, like tanks, fighter planes, artilleries and other large weaponry similar to the Germanā€™s regular army, called the Wehrmacht. Follow Selangor's plan, Penang told

We louded plans by the Selangor state government to strengthen the effectiveness of the role of the State Assembly as a legislative body that is sovereign and of equal standing by establishing the Selangor Legislative Assembly Service Commission (SELESA). As such, we also would like to call on the Penang state government to do the same in order to come out with a fair and just structure for the Penang State Legislative Assembly management. In fact, from day one, we all should realise that the management of the state legislative assemblies should not be put under the orders and jurisdictions of the state executive council as this will create an inbalance and unjust situation, should a conflict arise. Let us just look at Perak, when the Pakatan state government there was toppled, Umno seized control the entire administration of the state legislative assembly by instructing the office of the speaker not to obey the orders and instruction of their boss i.e. the State Speaker V.Sivakumar. A...

Adakah me...

Local Government Elections

Ever since the Pakatan Rakyat took office in few state governments in the last general elections, calls to expedite the implementation for local government (city councils, municipal councils, district councils) elections from all walks of lives can be heard everywhere. Some of us are even why isnā€™t the local government elections being carried out to-date as the Pakatan is already in power in those states. Well, unknown to many of us are some constraints that need to be addressed and overruled if local government elections were to take place. Firstly, the Local Government Act needs to be amended to allow elections to be carried out at city, municipal and distcit level councils. What we do understand is the current Act did not allow the position of councillors to be directly elected via elections. Secondly, in order to amend the Local Government Act, the Pakatan component parties needs the sufficient votes of majority to push for the Act to be reformed, but currently the Barisan still co...
