Ex-MCA president freed. Who's the real culprit then?

Former MCA president and former transport minister Dr Ling Liong Sik was today acquitted the court of all charges against him in the much publicized Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal which had cost the government billions of Ringgit in losses.

Then, the question here is, who is the real culprit? Why was the probe only focusing on Dr Ling and not the other parties who are also involved in the PKFZ dealings, be it directly or indirectly? The contractors, sub-contractors, as well as those minor contractors at large, business connections, other powerful people behind the scene, why weren't all these elements taken into consideration during the probe.

Another former transport minister Chan Kong Choy who is also the former MCA deputy president was also reported to be part of the PKFZ deal during his tenure in the government. Why was his case yet to be heard? Perhaps the Attorney-General's Chambers had forgotten. So does the Malaysian Anti Corruption Agency (MACC). Besides Chan, there are also few more individuals who are involved.

Look, this government had suffered a massive loss not in thousands of Ringgit but the sum of billions of Ringgit just disappeared like that without anymore trace. What is wrong with this government, the entire government machinery from the legislature, the judiciary and the law enforcers, which also includes the MACC?

Dr Ling acquitted from all charges and that's it? Case close and forget about it? Come on, it has already been an open secret that the PKFZ scandal is the result of a very-well connected internal conspiracy to squander the public funds in billions. The failed PKFZ project was not an incidental case nor a natural disaster. It is man-made, on purpose in order to take the public funds for their personal interests.

The other one is, the PKFZ's turnkey developer, Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB). Why was this major participant of the scandalous project being totally forgotten? They should be held accountable as well but just because the major shareholders of the company were BN leaders, the probe against this company had since vanished.

Well, whatever it takes for this government in its efforts to "curb corruption", it has been expected, they are all merely for window-dressing, a very clear attempt to cheat our people, hoping that our people would eventually forget about it or maybe the entire nation is so forgetful.

The entire system, the government, legislature, judiciary and the law enforcers seems to be very frustrating. What else can be trust in this BN government?
