Seri Perdana's renovation again! RM65 million to be thrown

The prime minister and finance minister I, Datuk Seri Najib Razak had recently announced in his budget speech that an amount of RM65 million has been allocated to renovate his official residence, Seri Perdana in Putrajaya.

Najib, who is also the Umno president and BN chairman had also announced in his recent budget speech several mega projects which is to be undertaken by his federal government, where the most expensive 100-storey Warisan Merdeka tower which will cost RM5.o billion will be erected in the middle of Kuala Lumpur city next to the Stadium Merdeka.

We understand that prior to Najib's premiership, former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had also allocate millions of Ringgit to renovate the official residence to fit his needs and requirements.

Just look at Seri Perdana (picture above). One renovation after another. Did Najib allocate this fund to renovate just to create a legacy of himself in the official residence, or to move away Abdullah and Mahathir's designs? Or is there isn't enough rooms or facilities to accommodate his wife Rosmah Mansor and her relatives as well as their children and grandchildren?

Come on? Seri Perdana is an official residence of the prime minister and that does not belong solely to Najib or Rosmah. If you have too many relatives or family members, then move them elsewhere or buy them some houses (with your own money, please!) instead of using the public fund to serve the interest of your huge family.

Has Najib forgotten that minister in the prime minister's department Datuk Seri Idris Jala had previously said that the federal government is in the verge of bankruptcy if the various subsidies on the consumer goods are not withdrawn?

Is Najib going to tell our people that there will be no worries on keeping the treasury full, because he, in his capacity as finance minister could instruct Bank Negara to print more money when the treasury depletes. If that so, then our currency will face devaluation in the market.

And when our currency devalues continuously, our nation's economy will face a very grave uncertainties. And when all these happens, our people will suffer. Is this what Najib wants?

Until now, we have yet to hear what is Najib's justification on all these wasting expenditures in his government. We supposed Najib wanted to feed his Umno contractors as they had lost their businesses in Selangor, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan and Perak previously.

That is how Najib uses our tax money for his personal and political interests.
