What PAS is fussing about the Shadow Cabinet?
Well, the DAP had recently announced the party’s shadow cabinet line-up to check on the BN government’s performances and administration after being frustrated with the ineffectiveness of the opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat’s 2008 shadow cabinet of one representative each from PKR, DAP and PAS to oversee all the government ministries.
Thumbs up for DAP for not wanting to waste any time and to check on the BN government to ensure good governance and service to our people and the nation. Asides, DAP had also called on its coalition partners PKR and PAS to come up with the line-ups of their own to also check on the government’s performance.
Then, suddenly PAS president Datuk Abdul Hadi Awang came out with a strong and negative message against DAP by claiming that the later’s shadow cabinet line-up had proven that DAP had wanted to govern alone should it come to power one day and not to forget that the PAS leader also mentioned that there is an attempt to establish a “Chinese government” by DAP.
It is only an issue on shadow cabinet. Why did PAS suddenly decided to incite racism in its response over DAP’s shadow cabinet? Why is PAS so “irritated” about the shadow cabinet which initiated by DAP?
DAP established its shadow cabinet to show to the people that it wanted to perform and govern in the near future, and DAP had in fact urged its coalition partners PKR as well as PAS to do the same (to establish a shadow cabinet of their own) to help check the BN government together.
So, why the PAS leader talked about race? Where is PAS’ shadow cabinet? Can PAS demonstrate its effectiveness and readiness to serve the people and to readied itself for governance by having its team of “administrators” ready for it instead of harping on race and religious issues continuously?
We would like to ask Hadi, what was your achievement and what have you done during your short stint as parliamentary opposition leader at one time? You don’t even have a shadow cabinet at all when you were leading the opposition in the parliament. You were ineffective in providing check and balance to the Umno government during that time because you and your colleagues of ulamas were merely “experts” on religious matters and none of you were professionals armed with knowledge of administration and policymaking.
To Hadi and PAS, if you want to share and talk about taking over Putrajaya and to be in the federal government, stop harping on racial and religious issues. Everyone of us are tired with your conservative outlooks and views which are not benefiting our nation.
Our nation’s economy are at stake, our people’s income are shrinking, price of goods had hiked up to the highest, many people have no homes to live in, our salaries are stagnant, public funds are being misused, people are being taxed, and even newborn babies too have to fork out some money to pay the tax. All these has nothing to do with race and religion.
All of us are suffering from this current economic disorder created by Umno government, and to cover-up the current situation, Umno too is playing the racial and religious cards in order to distract our people’s attention away from the real issues affecting them.
Unless PAS is now admitting that they do not have any expertise to come up with a shadow cabinet of their own because they are merely religious ulamas. PAS lack of those who knows about real administrative matters like finance, transport, judiciary, infrastructure, development, science, technology, etc.
So PAS, what else can you offer to our people and the nation? It is not just hudud, please, this should be kept in the household. Open up your holy books and study it again to see what are the real contents.
