Protect the people's land instead!

Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah yesterday called on all parties to protect Malay reserve land from falling into the hands of ineligible individuals or companies.

In doing so, the parties must observe all related provisions under the Constitution. Sultan Sharafuddin said he did not want any parties to resort to irresponsible acts by attempting to transfer Malay reserve land to individuals or companies not owned by Malays. He said land was Selangor's main asset.

Well, only protecting the reserve land isn't enough. In fact, any kind of land that belongs to our people should also be protected entirely and the call should not be made to only one particular race or religion.

Not only we have poor Malays, but we also have poor Chinese, poor Indians, poor Orang Aslis, poor Sikhs, poor Kadazans, poor Dayaks or any other poor communities whose welfare need to be looked into.

The people's land should be protected from any sort of power abuse, mismanagement as well as the overwhelming political power of the BN and Umno ruling elites. Just look at the lands, luxurious bungalows, palaces and mansions owned by Umno top leaders, warlords and division chairmen. Just look at their five-star lifestyles. They have been abusing their powers to grab the people's land for decades. Go after them all, not just Khir Toyo!

As such, please do not ignore such blatant land grabbing monsters at large.
